Allied- Occupied Germany
After World War 2 had ended Germany was occupied by various countries, which shared it into zones; The United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and France. They had joined together to share the responsiblity of managing Germany and in the proces this had contributed towards the Cold War as Communsim ideoligies and Captalism ideologies didn't mix well. -
Chinese civil war continues
The Chinese Civil War contineues after the war was interrupted when Japan had invaded China in 1936.This was between the Communist and the Republic forces, this event was considered important because it had marked how communism was being imposed on different nations. -
The beginnings of the Cold War
The world had began to return to normal state of health from World War II and the first General Assembly of the United Nations had met in London in January 1946.This was when they had produced the United Nations Atomic Energy Commission. The reason why this had happened was due to people wanting to eliminate all weapons of mass destruction, including the dreaded atomic bomb. -

This was a war between Communist North Vietnam and Captalist South Vietnam. The Soviet Union and the people's Republic of China had fought against south Vietnam. South Vietnam had allies which ssisted this includes the United states, Australia, South Korea and New Zealand. -

The construction of the Berlin Wall begins.This was to be used as a symbol of suppression of human rights by the Eastern block during the Cold War. -

The Cuban missile conflict was a harmful conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. This was when the two super powers had almost come to a nuclear war. -

The North Vietnamese had occupied South Vietnam and had built the entire country under communist authority. Saigon was sieged by the North Vietnamese soldiers with their tanks. -

This is regarded as the end of the cold war. This was because the Berlin wall symbolised opression and in it's destruction it symbolised the peoples freedom.
