Roanoke
Roanoke is located on the coast of North Carolina. Also known as "The Lost Colony." John White, the governor, was sent back to Spain to get supplies but war broke out while he was in Spain. The Mayflower, Plymouth and Mayflower Compact
The Mayflower was a ship that took the pilgrims to the new world. There was another ship called the Speedwell that was supposed to sail with all of the supplies, but there were some complications with the ship so they transferred everything to the Mayflower and set sail. Plymouth, MA was were they landed. More than half of them died but with the help of Squanto they survived. The Mayflower compact was the first government document in the new world.

Maryland Toleration Act
The Maryland Toleration Act granted religious freedom to all of Maryland's inhabitants. George Calvert had the idea of traveling to America for religious freedom but died before he could see his plan through. His son, Cecil, took over his fathers plan managing the the colony.

Bacon's Rebellion
Bacon's Rebellion was started on a disagreement between Governor Sir William Berkeley and Nathaniel Bacon Jr., who were cousins, were "complete opposites" when it came to their opinions. This Rebellion happened in Virginia and started because Bacon of the decrease in prices of tobacco and their relationship with the Natives.

The French and Indian war was fought between the French and the British. War broke out because the Native Indians still hadn't chosen the British or the French as an ally yet. This war played a major role in Virginia and ended with the French and Indians agreeing to stop fighting and start trading.

Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was when the "representatives from various American Indian tribes, as well as British, French, and Spanish leaders" came together to end the French and Indian war. The French had to give up their land to the British.
