Jamestown
On December 6, 1606, the journey began on three ships to Virginia. In 1607 , about 100 English men arrived in North America to begin the start to their settlement. On the 13th of May they decided to pick Jamestown, Virginia as their settlement. The settlement was named after King, James I which became the first permanent English settlement in North America.
