The Visigoths Sack Rome
The Visigoths from Germany, under the leader Alaric, attack Rome on August 24, 410AD. More and more Visigoths had entered Rome before this attack. Early on, the Visigoths were Roman allies. However, they revolted and Alaric led his warriors against Rome. This attack was the first time in almost 800 years that Rome had been defeated by another army. -

Fall of the Emperor of Rome
The last western emperor, Romulus Augustulus, was taken out by the general Odoacer on September 4, 476 AD. Odoacer then ruled Italy. Many consider this as the fall of the western Roman Empire. German kingdoms then replaced the Western Roman Empire. -

End of King Vishnugupta's Reign
King Vishnugupta's reign ended in 550. He was the final ruler of the Gupta Empire. Near the end of the empire, the Huna continued to invade. The Gupta also had competition from the Vakatakas and the Yashodharman which weakened the empire. The empire became smaller kingdoms. After the Gupta empire collapsed, their culture remained in India. Modern Indian culture is influenced by the Guptans. -
Three-way division of power Han Dynasty
In 208 AD, General Cao Cao went south to unify all of China. Over time a three-way division of power had developed between China's warlords. General Sun Quan commanded a region south of the Yangtze River which extended into South East Asia. General Liu Bei, a member of the Han royal family, was the leader of the region of the Sichuan Province in eastern central China. General Cao Cao was in charge of the largest kingdom. Cao Cao's death in 220 led to the complete collapse of the Han Dynasty. -
Hepthalites Break Through Gupta Defenses
The Hepthalites attacked the Gupta in 480 in the Northwest region of the Empire. The Northwest was then over run by the Huna. The Empire fell apart after attacks by Toramana and Mihirakula.
