The Han's would pay nomads/peasants to protect their areas. They hired many of them, too a point where they couldn't afford to pay them for their work. The nomads eventually grew tired of this, and revolted. Causing many wars against the Han dynasty. After many wars, the Han Dynasty lost. This was a major collapse of the Hans. -

Barbarian Tribes Sweeping Through Rome
Many groups, such as the Visigoths, Vandals, Angels, etc. came through Rome and destryoed it piece by piece. In 476, the last of the Romans in the west were overthrown by Odacer, a Germanic leader. He was the first barbaric leader to rule in Rome. -

Government Collapse.
The government officials lost power and increaed taxes. The people of Gupta eventually refused to pay taxes, the officials couldn't do anything. Eventually, the government couldn't afford to pay off foreign invaders and its bureaucracy because they weren't recieving any tax money. -

Rome Christianaty
Constantine was loosing a civil war with rome. So he offered hospitality to the Christans in exchange for military service. He obtained so many of them that they become main population and religon of Rome. This hurts Rome because it underminds the emperors cult because they do not worship him as a god. Their military is made up of Christans so they do not enforce Roman cultures upon themselves. This slowly breaks down the Roman culture and law. -

Huns invading Guptas.
This was the most important cause of the Guptas fall. The Guptas were able to hold them off for a while, they eventually failed. The Huns broke the trade route between Gupta and Rome. They also broke the markets of western India.
