The Stamp Act
On march 22nd a law passed, called the "Stamp Act" which mainly is about the british stamping stamps on to every printed paper and having to pay a tax for it. But this was for every piece of printed paper! -
The Quartering Act
On march , 24th , 1765 a law passed called "the quartering act" it was about civillians being forced to allow british soliders in their house. To provide them comfort. Including : mainly a bed and food. -
The Boston Massacare
On march , 5th 1770 colonists swarmed around the boston house of tax collecting. While soliders were guarding it...when the colonists arrived they started calling the soliders "lobsterback" and very slowly walking towards the soliders and frightened them so the soliders raised they're gun but the lcaptain said "dont fire" and one solider thought he said fire so he shot his gun and then the other soliders followed. killing 1 man , 5 children and wounding 7 people. -
The Boston Tea Party
After the boston massacare (March 1770) the british won a war but it was very costly..So king George the III decided to tax boston with tea. But the colonists were VERY angry because they did not want this neither did they get a chance to refuse! So when the british arrived the colonists still refused..so the colonists dressed up as the british , and got aboard the ship and cut open the tea boxes , and dropped 90,000 pounds worth of loose tea into the boston harbor and cheering as it dissapears. -
The Intolerable Acts
The intolerable acts where about many laws being passed because of the boston tea party.Some of them included closing the harbor until all the lost tea was paid for. But people helped the colonists survive this tragic incident by sending food and money to them. and eventaully the colonists got angry and started tarring ,feathering , and pouring boiling tea down the tax collecters mouth when he came around to collect the taxs'. So the colonists set out to stop all laws so they could be free!
