The Berlin Wall was added to prevent the people from leaving the Eastern part of Germany. It divided East and West Germany due to the political tensions between the two. -

U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War happened because of many factors: The U.S. was already involved with Japan, pressure to be in action against the communist party, etc. -
Berlin Wall Fell
There were many things that led to the fall of the Berlin Wall such as change in the Soviet policies. The Germans, particularly East Germans, were not very happy about these policies. Peaceful protesting at the wall eventually led to the fall.
