Berlin Blockade/ Airlift
The Soviets shut off all sources of supplies to West Berlin. In turn, the U.S. and its allies flew in supplies for the people of West Berlin. This angered the Soviets. -
Korean War
It began when North Korea decides to invade South Korea. They crossed the 38th parallel, and forced South Korea into a corner. Then America came, and drove back North Korea. Korea in general lost many soldiers, and so did America. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
There were Soviet missiles under construction in Cuba. President Kennedy decided to place a blockade around Cube, ready to use military force.However, Nikita Khrushev made an offer to remove the missiles, if Kennedy promised not to invade Cuba. -
Vietnam War
North Vietnam wanted to take over South Vietnam, because South Vietnam was under Frances conrol. America joined the war, and they lead the war for 3 years. and for that reason, in Vietnam it's called the American war.
