The Space Race was a race between the US and USSR to see who could get a person in space and on the moon. The USSR was the first to get a man in space but the US was the first to get someone on the moon, resulting in the US winning. -
Bay of Pigs
The Bay of Pigs invasion was an invasion by the US against Cuba which was only 90 miles away from the US. Cuba was using communism which the US didn't like, causing the US to attempt and fail to take over Cuba, resulting in the Cuban Missile Crisis.
