    This was a conference held in Potsdam in the summer of 1945 where Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill drew up plans for the administration of Germany and Poland after World War II ended. This lead to the Cold War because by giving the Soviet Union control over Eastern Europe it made the West feel that the USSR was bent on expanding communism.

    The Berlin blockade

    The Berlin Blockade was Russia’s response to the merger of the French, USA and UK partitions of Berlin was to cut all road and rail links to that sector. This meant that those living in Western Berlin had no access to food supplies and faced starvation. Food was brought to Western Berliners by US and UK airplanes, an exercise known as the Berlin Airlift. On May 12 1949 Russia ended the blockade of Berlin and it was the end of Berlin Blockade

    The Korean War

    on June 25th, 1950 Korean War began when began when North Korea invaded South Korea. On July 27th 1953 the Korean war ended. North Korea remained affiliated with Russia while South Korea was affiliated with the USA.

The revolution was caused by Hungarian people against the ruling Communist Party of the time and the Soviet policies which were crippling post-war Hungary. It ended November 10, 1956.
