    The blockade was a series of cut railroads, roads, canals, and more ways of transportation leading into West Berlin. This was to starve Berlin so the USSR could take control under Stalin's lead.

    In response to the Berlin Blockade, the US sent in airdrops to West Berlin with all the necesities for the West Berliners to survive. Over hundreds of thousands flights were sent in.

    This theory was that if one country was influenced by communism, the countries around will fall in a domino effect to communism.

    North Korea invaded South Korea. The United Nations was against this so they sent in American troops to fight. China backs up North Korea and the war ends in a Stalemate.

    Alliance/Defense treaty amongst the majority of the communists nations. Opposite of NATO in terms of NATO being democratic and The Warsaw Pack being communist.

    This was a war between North Vietnam (communist) and the Viet-Cong against South Vietnam and the US. This was a very costly war for both sides fought in the dense jungles of Vietnam.

    1400 exiles of Cuba launched an invasion at the Bay of Pigs on the south coast of Cuba.

    A wall built by the Soviets seperating West (democratic) Berlin from East (communist) Berlin. It mainly for preventing Eastern Berliners from escaping to West Berlin.

    This crisis was when there were Soviet missiles that were aimed at the US discovered by a U2 Spy plane. This almost lead to a massive WWIII becasue of the possibility of nuclear war.
