  • Nuremberg Trails

    Nuremberg Trails
    The Nuremberg Trails were held between 1945 and 1949 in Nuremberg, Germany. Allied Military courts tried more then 200 Nazi and military officals for thier war crimes.
  • Potsdam Convention

    Potsdam Convention
    The Potsdam Conference was held at Cecilienhof, the home of Crown Prince Wilhelm Hohenzollern, in Potsdam, occupied Germany, from 17 July to 2 August 1945. (In some older documents it is also referred to as the Berlin Conference of the Three Heads of Government of the USSR, USA and UK. Participants were the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. The three powers were represented by Communist Party General Secretary Joseph Stalin, and Prime Ministers Winston Churchill.

    In mid-1947, the U.S. government launched a massive program of economic aid. The Marchall Plan, named after U.S secretary of state George Marshall, provided $13 billion for rebuilding Europe.

    Was a massive effort to supply West Berlin by air. The Berlin Airlift was a success, and Soviets called off the blockade of Berlin in May 1949.

    The Warsaw pact was done as retaliation method of the Soviets. The Soviets made the Warsaw Pact to create their own alliance of eastern Europe.
  • Bay of Pig's

    Bay of Pig's
    The US government, seeking to overthrow Castro, secretly trained an invasion force of approximately 1,500 Cubans who had fled Castro's regime. In April 1961 this force came ashore at Cuba's Bay of Pigs.
