    The iron curtain was a boundary that separated the NATO countries from the Warsaw pact the soviet union felt the need to isolate the countries it controlled after WW2 to have a stronger communist influence over them.

    The Marshall plan was created after WW2 by the united states its monetary goal was to help rebuild the European countries that where left in ruins by the war by aiding billions of dollars to make Europe a prosperous nation again it also helped fight off communist influence in Europe.
