    Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin meet to discuss the reorganization of Europe after WWII ended. They agreed to govern Germany jointly.     Harry Truman Becomes the President of the United States
    After FDR passes away, Harry Truman becomes president. He presses Stalin to allow a free election. Stalin said "Communism and capitalism could not exist in the same world". He created the Iron Curtain which symbolized the divide of capitalism and communism in Europe.     The United States drops the first atomic bomb used in war on Hiroshima, Japan. It killed over 100,000 people and shocked the world. This resulted in Japan’s surrender and one of the reasons WWII ended.     George Marshall made a plan to assist Europe after WWII ended. His plan provided aid to the countries to repair.     The USSR built a wall that separated East Germany and West Germany. The United States send massive amounts of supplies every day to aide the people suffering, until the blockade was removed.     A pact created by the USSR to strengthen communism and their military power. It consisted of USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, East Germany, and Albania.
