Truman Doctrine

Doctrine enforced that the U.S. would provide political, military, and economical assistance to all threatened democratic nations.

Marshall Plan

Recovery act signed by pres. Truman was later know as the Marshall Plan.
It called for secretary of state, George Marshall, to provide postwar Europe economic assistance.

NATO

A group of 1500 Cuban exiles launched an ill-flated invasion of Cuba from the sea in the Bay of pigs.
This was done in purpose of overthrowing Fidel Castro and his revolution.
