Kennedy wanted to remove Castro from power over Cuba, so he designed a plan called Bay of Pigs. However, this invasion failed because Castro found out about the raid and was prepared. This started a flame between American, Soviets, and Cubans.

Building of the Berlin Wall
After World War II, Germany was divided into four zones. The United States had control of West Berlin and the Soviet Union had control of the East. Millions of East Germans kept escaping to West Germany and the communist government wanted to stop it from happening. Hence the wall was built.

Cuban Missile Crisis
The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world ever came to nuclear war. The Soviet Union had planted missiles in Cuba that they were planning on launching to the United States. However, President Kennedy ordered their removal or else he would invade Cuba. Gulf of Tonkin Resolution
North Vietnam attacked two US naval destroyers, so President Johnson asked Congress to authorise the use of US force to defend US troops.
