Marshall Plan
George C. Marshall had gave a speech saying that he would help with things; money wise. When he had announced that everyone was silent. The Soviets had rejected the Marshall Plan. -
Creation of Israel
Israel was created to support Jews since they were considered "minorities" in almost every area. They let mainly all Jews be welcomed. -
Berlin Air lift
Soviets had blocked all travel and roads due to the fact that American and British wouldn't let Russia have more of a say in future economy. -

The Korean War was the first invasion in the Cold War. The war was for international communism. The war ended 3 years later. 5 million lives were lost during the Korean War. -

The Sputniks were really satellites. They were made to orbit around the Earth. The Soviets and the United States had both tried to make a satellite. Soviets succeded; United states had failed. When the US had tried again, their satellite had completely orbited around the Earth. -
NASA is formed
The U.S wanted to win the space race against the Soviets. The Soviets made the first satellite to go around the Earth. In 1957 the United States tried to make a satellite also; it came off the ground and then it exploded. Later on the U.S tried again and it was successful and orbited about the Earth, completely. -
Berlin Wall Constructed
The Berlin Wall was constructed to divide up east and west Berlin. People were trying to go over the wall and try to get to a different side. It was first made of concrete and barbed wire. -
Bay of Pigs Invasion
People that were involved in the "Bay of Pigs Invasion" were trained since May in 1960. The Cuban army had defeated all of its emenies on April 20th; either captured of killed. Castro had got offered money, and let some people go for the exchange. -

Kennedy was assassinated when he was in Dallas, Texas. He was driving in the main plaza when he was shot. It was expected from the 6th story floor from a guy that had medical problems. -

Korean Airline Flight 007
The Korean Airline Flight was shot down. A attacker thought he had got the signal to start shooting; he was wrong. The plane went straight down and all passengers that were all killed. -
