On July 26, the leaders issued a declaration demanding unconditional surrender from Japan.     The USS Pueblo an army purpose supply vessel. Was built in 1944, retired in 1954 and brough tback 1966. The Pueblo engaged a routine surveillance of the North Korean coast. The North Korean patrol boats caught them and turned their guns aginst them and demanded their surrender. The Americans tried to escape but the North Koren opened fire. As the Americans were being captured they tried stalling time, destroying classified information.
