Cuban Exiles from the U.S would invade Cuba and revolt against the communist leader Castro. This event was known as one of the biggest fails during the Cold War because the Cuban exiles were not soldiers. All of them were either captured or killed during the attempt. -
Berlin Wall Built
The Berlin Wall was built to keep East Germans from going into non-communist western states. It was a heavy guarded wall with a very small chance you would make it over alive. -

The USSR placed nuclear missiles in Cuba by ship. President Kennedy of the U.S ordered Krhushchev to turn around the ships as he saw this as a sign of Nuclear war. -

Gorbachev and Bush met declaring this was the end of the Cold War.
