Francis Gary Powers was sent to prison for 10 for Espionage but was out 2 years after U.S traded a Soviet Spy for Francis the first ever spy swap. -

A U.S pilot for a spy plane reported sightings of construction of Soviet Nuclear Missile base in Cuba. The United States president J.F Kennedy had sent Navy ships and formed a blockade for Cuba. The U.S demanded removal for the missiles. And war was adverted because on October 28th Russia removed missiles.
