Before the WWll america and the soviet union had characterized each other as the devil incarnate, so their ‘friendship’ during the war was simply the result of having a mutual enemy-Nazi Germany.The extreme distrust was that the The Soviet leader,J.Stalin,was also distrustful of the Americans.This was the scene after the war ended in 1945. Both sides distrusted.One had a big army in the field (the Soviet Union and its Red Army lead by Zhukov),while the Americans had the most powerful weapon. -
