Defeat of Germany and Japan
-
Before the WWll america and the soviet union had characterized each other as the devil incarnate, so their ‘friendship’ during the war was simply the result of having a mutual enemy-Nazi Germany. The extreme distrust was that the The Soviet leader,J.Stalin, was also distrustful of the Americans. This was the scene after the war ended in 1945. Both sides distrusted. One had a big army in the field (the Soviet Union and its Red Army lead by Zhukov),while the Americans had the most powerful weapon.
