    After introduction of Duetschmark Stalin blocks all roads to West Berlin in an attempt to make the West give the land up. However, aid was sent through air, with B29's on standby.

    forms with 11 western nations to protect against communism. In the same year, West Germany was combined.
  • Korean War

    South Korea asks for help, UN (mostly US) sends soldiers. MacArthur leads, brings S. Korea back to 38th parallell, then pushes towards China (who gets involved), pushes S. Korea back and boarders do not change.

    Elected with largest Majority ever. Was a mid-republican/democrat. Health, Education, Welfare Departments.

Kruschev sends letter requesting US to not invade Cuba and stop the blockade. 2) Khrushchev sends another letter requesting to take down Turkey missles 3) Robert Kennedy secretly agrees to Turkey missiles, US promises not to invade and stops blockade

    Prior to this, Nixon was building up Vietnamasation. 1973 was the cease fire between US and Vietnam. Saigon falls during this year.
