All planes carried a total of 2.3 million tons of supplies into West Berlin. The Berlin Airlift ended when the Soviets lifted the blockade after it had failed.

When the news broke out about the Watergate scandal, Nixon resigned from office, fearing he may be impeached.

Several students did a pro-democracy student demonstration at Tiananmen Square, but was violently crushed by the Military of China. This brutal masacre was viewed all over the world, as news stations from other countries were there to provide live broadcasts of the Soviet President Milkhail Gorbachev's visit to China.

The Captain was most likely confused in the darkness, and changed courses several times. This caused the ship to collide with another ship, the USS Wasp.

    The Cuban missile crisis was a 13-day standoff between the United States and the missiles the Soviets has in Cuba, who were aimed at multiple cities in the U.S and Mexico. Pres.Kennedy order the Navy to block the Havana to secure the safety of the countries. The Soviets backed down when an agreement was that if the U.S does not invade Havana, the Soviets will put down their missiles.
