Exposition 1: Background
Logan Forbes, 13, just moved from Richmond. He will be in seventh grade this year. -
Exposition 2: Setting
Logan just moved to the town of Bealesville into a house where Mrs. Donaldson was murdered. The house is in the worst condition! He then gets settled in and discovers lots of mysterious things. -
Exposition 3: Characters
The 2 main characters of the story are Logan Forbes and Arthur Jenkins, Other characters that are involved are Ms. Myrtle Donaldson, Bear, and Mr. DiSilvio. -
Rising Action
Arthur took Logan on a tour and foun dout that the Magic Forest shut down after Mrs. Donaldson was killed becuase she worked there. -
Rising Action
Mrs. Donaldson's dog, Bear, now lives with Arthur, but always seems to come back to Logan's porch. He really misses Mrs. Donaldson. -

Arthur told him that Mrs. Donaldson was murdered when the real estate lady said something completely different. She told the family that Mrs. Donaldson fell down the steps. -

They went to the library and found a newspaper that stated everything Arthur said about Mrs. Donaldson's murder. The newspaper also stated that Mrs. Donaldson stole money from the Magic Forest. Logan then went home and showed it to his mom because she didnt believe anythingm that Arthur said. -

The day before, when they went to the library, the librarian, Nina, asked for Logan's number so that she can take pictures and investigate the house. Nina works on cold case files so she wants to find out as much information as she can about the murder. -

Now the mom tells the whole family that she is afraid to even eat home-cooked meals at the house. -

Arthur soon realizes that everyone around town knows about the murder, including the pizza guy and the carpenter. -
Climax/Turning Point
Arthur and Logan find knickknacks and souveneirs, in Mrs. Donaldson's attic, from the Magic Forest. They also find a note that states something about the money. -
Falling Action
Arthur and Logan, go to find Mrs. Donaldson's daughter, Violet, who works at Wal-Mart. They go to talk about the note they found in the attic explaning everything. Also, the note was written out to Violet, but the message was enver delivered to her becuase that was the day that Mrs. Donaldson was murdered. -
Falling Action
Arthur and Logan go to the Phelph's place. They soon realize that the only reason Johnny, the pizza guy, offered to cut the grass in the front yard, was so that he could go in and out of the house and serch for the money. -
Conflict
Logan just moved into a house where someone was murdered, and Arthur and Logan are trying to solve the mystery and crime. Mrs. Donaldson was murdered about three years ago. But Logan just moved in and is realizing everything that happened in his new home. -
Falling Action
Silas, Violet's ex, chases after Logan and Arthur. Arthur stole the map, so that Violet could find where Mrs. Donaldson hid the money so that she could turn it in to the police. Silas wants it so that he can also try to find where the money was hidden so that he can keep it. -
Falling Action
Logan, Arthur, and Violet go to Mrs. Jenkins house to talk about what the note means and here the money can be found. -

Violet, Arthur, and Logan make plans to get the money after figuring out what the note means. -
Resolution
Billy, Johnny, Silas, Logan's moms friend, Mr. DiSilvinio, are also at the Magic Forest. -
Resolution
The murderer, Silas, is arrested and everything is fine. -
Resolution
Logan, Arthur, and Violet go to the Magic Forest, a little after nine o'clock. They run into Danny, Violet's son.
