These toilets look like an outhouse. Instead of the person's feces going to the street it went down to the pig's so they could eat it. They would then use the pig's poop as manure. -
100 BCE
Roman's Public Bathroom
Roman's made a public bathroom with multiple holes with no privacy. Unlike our public bathroom today with sinks and paper towels, they would use a sponge and water to wipe themselves and the next person done would use the same one. -
First Flushing Toilet
The first flushing toilet was made by Sir John Harrington. When he invented it, a lot of people made fun of them but then realized it was a very intelligent invention. -
S Shaped Trap Toilet
The S Shaped Trap toilet was invented by Alexander Cummings, It was invented to prevent the odor from rising to the top. -
Vortex-Flushing Toilet Bowl
Now toilets have a self cleansing effect in the toilet. It changed from the elevated water tank to the modern toilet with a tank attached. -
Bidet Toilets
This was invented by Arnold Cohen. This toilet has a spraying nozzle in the toilet seat to help clean the person who used it. -
Japan's modern Toilet
Now Toilets in Japan have a bidet, water heating, a warm air dryer, and a heated seat. These new toilets eventually spread across the world. -
My Improvement
I think toilets should have softer seats or seats with cushion. They should also have a Febreze attachment that spays Febreze as soon as you flush the toilet. In today's world I think all toilets should have a touchless flush. So many germs are on the nozzle when you flush after using the bathroom.
