Clementine malfunctions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clementine_(spacecraft) May 7, 1994, a problem in one of the on-board computers caused a thruster to fire for 11 minutes until it had run out of fuel, leaving the spacecraft spinning at about 80 RPM. This problem caused the continuation of the mission, to fly by the asteroid Geographos, impossible. Clementine remained in orbit testing components until the mission was over. -
Clementine mission is over.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clementine_(spacecraft) Clementine's power supply falls very low and it stops sending clear information back to Earth. The signal was so weak that we do not know the exact date Clementine shut down, only that it was in June. -
Confirmation of water.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clementine_(spacecraft) NASA announced that the information sent back by Clementine said that there was enough water in the Moon's North and South Poles' craters to support a human colony. Nowadays, however, this is doubted.
