    The Compromise of 1850 is basically five laws passed in September of 1850 that dealt with the issue of slavery. When Californa whanted to join the Union. The South didnt want Californa to join because non salvory wuold always win. The North wanted Californa tojoin because non slavory would win all dicution with slavory.

    Uncle Tom's Cabin is an anti-slavery novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The North wanted to publish this book because it said slavory was bad. The South hated this book because they wanted a good impreesion on this slavory but the book said slavory was bad.

    Kansas-Nebraska Act became a bill that was law on May 30, 1854, by which the U.S. Congress established the territories of Kansas and Nebraska. North liked this because the states were free states. The south didnt like this because those were two more states that voted agist them.

    Antietam was the bloodiest single day in American history ended in a draw but the Confederate retreated The North won but they lost a lot of men it this battle The South lost this battle wich got the Union one step closer to Richmend.

    It declared that all people held as slaves should be free but it applied only to states in North. North loved this idea because they wanted slves to be free. The South didnt like this because they wanted to have slaves.

    Confederate attacked the Union center on Cemetery Ridge and was met with heavy losses in Confederates second invasion of the North was failed. The North won this battle and defended the whole North. The South lost this battle and failed to break into the North.

    The Confederacy was effectively split in half after this battle. The Norths plain was put into place after this battle. The South was split into half.

    This was an effort to preserve the balance of power in Congress between slave and free states. The North liked this because they tried to stop the fighting. The south didnt like this because they wanted slaves.

    The Bureau gave land to the former slaves and they were also able to attend schools. The North liked this because former slaver had rigtes now. The South didnt like this because they thought slaves were less than people.
