Raid on Harper's Ferry
An abolitionist who fought in Bleeding Kansas, John Brown moved east in plan of a rebellion and ended up raiding at Harper's Ferry, Virginia to seize weapons and give them to slaves but this plan backfired and he was captured and executed. -

Fort Sumter was an Union-controlled fort in Confederate territory in Charleston, South Carolina and Lincoln sent supplies to the for but Confederate forces blocked the supplies and also opened fire on Fort Sumter and this became known as the begin of The Civil War. -

Freedman's Bureau
The Freedman's Bureau opened offices throughout the South, gave clothes, food, medicine, and established schools and offices. This freed 4 million slaves. -
Civil War is Over
General Lee of the South surrendered his army at the Appomattox Court House to officially end The Civil War. -
Assassination of President Lincoln
President Lincoln was assassinated and shot by John Wilkes Booth as Lincoln watched a play at Ford's Theater. Lincoln died the next day. -
14th. Amendment Passed!
The 14th. Amendment was passed and gave African American's citizenship and said that states had to provide equal protection for all. -
15th. Amendment Passed!
The 15th. Amendment was passed and guaranteed all men the right to vote.
