General Grant marched his unexperienced 15,00 troops to Fort Donelson. After 2 days the ships arrived and the assult began. After 90 minutes peirced enemy lines and the Confederates Surrendered. -

Robert E. Lee was promoted and accepted to take charge of the CSA (Confederate States of America). -

Monitor vs. Merrimac was arguably the most important naval battle of the Civil War. It was part of the effort of the confederacy to break the Union blockade. -

The Union captured Vicksburg after the Confederates were defeated at Gettysburg. -

General Hood destroyed the Army of Tennessee after the fall of Atlanta. -
Siege of Petersburg
This was a Confederate victory and there was a total of 11,386 casualties. 8,150 were union soilders. -
Atlanta Captured
The Union defeated the Confeterate Forces at Atlanta. General McPherson was killed during this battle. -
Lee Surrenders
Robert E Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S Grant at Virginia because the army was surrounded and had no supplies. -

President Lincoln was shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth because he supported slavery which Lincoln just ended. -
Joseph E. Johnson Surrenders
Joeseph E Johnson surrendered when his troops were half the size of General Shermans Army. -
13th Amendment
This amendment ended slavery.
