The battle was near Manassa Virginia. It was the first major battle of the civil war, and a confederate victory. The North had 3,000 casualties and the South had 1,750 casualties. -

The Confederates are the first ones to fire in Fort Sumter. The Confederates were demanding the Union to surrender or face an attack. Lincoln would abandon Fort Sumter but he would enforce it. All slaves in the state that are currently engaged in rebellion against the Union shall be free. Lincoln did not have the power to abolish slavery but he can change it to a abolish crusade. His official duty was to save the Union and is not either to save or destroy slavery. -

Considered the most important engagement of the civil war. This was a Union victory. Largest causalities of the war. It was described as the wars turning point. The Union had 23,049 casualties. The Confederates had 28,063 casualties. More than a third of Lees army. -

Abraham Lincoln had delivered this speech in Gettysburg after 4 and a half months after the victory at Gettysburg. The purpose was to urge everyone to honor those that had died at Gettysburg by striving to maintain the kind of nation imagined by Americas Founders. -

On the morning of that day it was one of the last battles of the American Civil War. The results was a surrender of the Confederate army to the Union Army. Lee was the general that surrendered to General Grant. Their were 260 Union casualties and 440 confederate casualties. -

Abraham Lincoln had served as the 16th president of the United States. He led the nation through the American Civil War, the bloodiest war. He was assassinated by a confederate named John Wilkes Booth. His motive was to avenge the Confederate States.
