North West Ordinance
Was a law that provided the base to govern the western territory, it also gave the people that live on the west side special rights like freedom of religion,property rights,right to trial by jury and “ neither slavery nor involuntary servitude in the said Territory.” This could cause tension between the North and the South because slaves would be willing to escape to those land. It would also give slaves rights, and the south would not want that at all. -

Missouri Compromise
The Missouri Compromise was a mix of two solutions.It allowed slavery to go to Arkansas territory south of Missouri but in the Louisiana purchase north of the Missouri’s southern border there wouldn’t be slavery. This caused a lot of tension because the south wants slavery out in the west. The north wants no slaves at all.Also when Missouri wants to become a state will it be a pro-slavery state or a non-slave state either way it breaks the Missouri Compromise. -
Annextion of Texas
American Immigrants made a rebellion against the Mexican government.The Rebellion won and they wanted to be part of the United States but Andrew Jackson did not allow it.This cause a lot of tension because many northern states opposed it because Texas was going to be a slave state.Also Mexico was still claiming Texas as their own.So Andrew Jackson recognized Texas as an independent nation to not cause a disagreement or war. -
