    in the morning of April 9th 1865 General Robert E Lee surrnedered to the General Ulysses S Grant of the union after the siege of petersburg retreated west. this was the end of the civil war

    on the day of april 15th 1863, Abraham Lincoln was shot in the back of the head at ford theatre by John wilks booth. It was very upsetting to the union loosing their presidant.

    The 13th amendment was about abolishing slavery, and the end of what the civil war had come too. the thirteenth amendment was approved and was on of the first reconstruction amendments.
