Compromise of 1850
The compromise of 1850 was between the whole east side of the U.S., letting the bottom part be slave-states, and the North was free. The compromise of 1850 prevented further territory expansion of slavery. -

This was when two states- Kansas and Nebraska -were allowed to vote on being free from slavery or for slavery. Probably the most important result of the Kansas-Nebraska Act was it's language concerning the issue of slavery. -

The Ku Klux Klan were slave patrols in all states. They were there just to make things back to normal. In other words they wanted slavery back. -

The Union and Confederacy fought in the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and General lee marched his army all the way there. Battle of Gettysburg was considered an important engagement of the american Civil War because the Union beat the South. -

Sherman's March to the Sea
Sherman's march began in Atlanta and ended in savannah, general Sherman marched across Ga to the Atlantic to prove the Confederate government could not protect them. Sherman's march frightened and appealed southerners, which increased Lee's army in Virginia later on.
