    The Battle Of Galveston started in October of 1862 and ended in January of 1863. The battle took place in Galveston, Texas making Galveston significant. The reason why its significant is the Confederate port was not successfully captured and held during the Civil War. They had two leaders they were Gen. Paul O. Hébert and Major Gen. John B. Magruder. In the end, the union was not successful in taking over. This was the only port that was not successfully taken over.

    The battle started on September 24 and ended on the 25. The battle was located in Port Arthur, Texas. This location was significant because the Union forces attacked Fort Griffin outside of the Sabine River to establish a presence in Texas. President Jefferson Davis and Lieutenant Dick Dowling were the leaders of this battle. In the end the Union lost and the confederate won.

    The Battle Of Palmito Ranch started on May 12, 1865, and ended the next day. The battle is located in Palmito Ranch, Texas. The significance of the battle is taking over the Confederate camps. Col.Theodore H. Barrett and Lt. Col. David Branson lead the war. In the end, the Confederacy surrendered and the Union took over. This was the last fight.
