schools were segreated it wasnt fair. after this trial schools were desegreated. -
Montgomery Bus Boycott
Blacks were suppose to sit on the back of the bus. It wasnt fair so the montgomery bus boycott led to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that segregation on public buses is unconstitutional. Then blacks were allowed to sit wherever they wanted on the bus.. -

Creation of the SCLC
everyone was very poor. therefore the SCLC was creatd to try and take care of some of the povery issues especially in Chicago. -
Incident at Little Rock
schools were trying to stay segreataed. it was unfair therefor the federal goverment came in and enforced laws and allowed blacks to go to normal regular public schools. -
Freedom Riders
they wanted action from JFK and they let people be extremly violent twards them and eventually JFK finally helped them. -

Laws were unjust. therefor MLK jr. said that it was okay to break unjust laws. so the blacks broke laws that were ruled unjust. -
March on Washington
the blacks wanted jobs and freedom, the march supported the bill and helped blacks get jobs eaiser and tried to impliment less discrimation. -
"I Have A Dream" speech
he wants blacks to have equal rights and to be free. this speech ends segreation in public places. now blacks are "equal and free" -
Civil Rights Act
This act ended segreation , gave more goverment power to challange segreation and created EEOC for african americans. -
Voting Rights Act
the voting terms in the south were unfair so the act changed the laws there was no more litteracy tests. therefor making it eaiser for african americans to votre.
