  • Rosa Parks and the Bus Boycott

    Rosa Parks began one of the most pivotal movements in the civil rights case, this also paved away for MLK Jr. to become a leader in the civil rights movements.
  • Little Rock 9

    9 African American students highlight the school integration crisis by attempting to enter Central Little Rock Highschool. This received national awareness and is monumental.
  • March on Washington

    Largest non-violent civil-rights movement to date. MLK Jr. provided his famous "I have a dream" speech.
  • Birmingham Marches

    MLK Jr. launches a campaign of large sit-ins and marches to protest segregation. MLK Jr. again began to see a large backing in the civil rights movements during the bus boycotts in Montgomery.
