    The 13th amendment abolished slavery in the USA. It made slavery a punishment and punishable crime in the USA, in 1863 The Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in the USA in the eleven confederate states as well.
  • 14th Amendment

    14th Amendment
    Gave the rights of citizenship, due to the process of laws in the USA. It gave equal protection of the law to all citizens in the USA. It become one of the most used amendments in court. It also helped cause an equal protection clause.
  • 15th Amendment

    15th Amendment
    The 15th amendment granted US citizens the right to vote irregardless of their race, color, religion or their sex as well. No state in the USA can prevent this for it is unconstitutional to do so.

Thousands of civil rights activists headed out to Selma and marched to Montgomery where lawmen attacked them and drove them to Selma.
