    The Sibley Commission was organized to see the opinion of the public on the integration of public schools. Most of the public were against integration. The Sibley Commision helped two African-Americans, Hamilton Holmes and Charlayne Hunter, to attend the University of Georgia. These two students were the first African-Americans to be admitted into the University of Georgia.
