I think this starts the process of helping minorities being able to do the same things other people can. -

This is very important because it gave minorities a say in what happens in the country. It could change how elections would turn out. -

This leads to later acts and amendments to bypass these laws that states made. The point was to make it difficult for African-Americans to vote -
Supreme Court rules the literacy tests are constitutional
This is important, because this means that this could restrict minorities from voting. This made it very unfair. -
Supreme Court declares "Grandfather Clause" unconstitutional
This is important because it made it very hard for African-Americans to vote. This was because if there grandfather was a slave, you couldn't vote because he couldn't vote. -
19th Amendment
This is important because it gave women the right to vote. Just like when African-Americans could vote, it could change how things would turn out in the country. -
Supreme Court rules the poll taxes are constitutional
This is important, because it means that people couldn't vote unless they pay there taxes. Low income people would have a hard time with this. -
