    said that African Americans could attend school with white folk. This was a major ruling in favor of the black people in the civil rights movement because they had been fighting for it for a while.

    Rosa Parks in 1955 decided to not give up her seat on a bus to a white person which started the bus boycotts which made major changes and uproar in the South. The buses were desegregated after the boycotts. This was an act of civil disobedience.
