Brown v. Board of Education
It was the the court that outlawed the segregation in schools. Brown v. Board of Education. the problem was they made the school not enter able in Texas. Segregation in school was on Constitution. -
Rosa Parks arrested for refusal to give up her seat
Two whites came on the bus and wanted Rosa Parks seat and she refused to get up and hand over her seat to the whites people that wanted wanted it. Next She kept on refusing and got arrested for not moving. -

The governor wanted to stop all the blacks from enrolling into the high school. The government put officers around the high school protecting them. -

The freedom riders created riots all around because of wanting civil rights. freedom riders were African Americans and whites as well. -
James Meredith enrolls at Ole Miss
That he got shot and wounded in the college of ole miss. The government had to provide extra protection for the blacks going to university's and high schools. -
Medgar Evers Assassinated
He was a black Civil rights activist. Also that he gained social justice and voting rights. He was killed and took it years for it to become a crime. -
March on Washington
The purpose of it was to fight against civil rights and not only blacks were in it so were whites. The famous speech there was "I had a dream" spoken by MLK -
Civil Rights Act of 1964
President Lyndon Johnson passed the act. It stated that to give discrimination to color,sex,religion and Ect. -

So that there were that many riots. The result of the march was that so voters from the north and south can show that they wanted civil rights/rights -

Marshall was a lawyer best known for his success. It was a monumental event because he was the first black supreme justice in court so black people looked up to him. -
Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King
It was a big impact because he was fighting for everyone's civil rights and the people that didn't have any such as the black and woman. Also that African Americans look up to him as a hero. He was at a motel standing on a Balcony giving one of his speeches until he was shot he was rushed to a hospital right after and died at the hospital
