    14 year old black boy bought candy from a store and spoke up against the white owners wife and then later that night was murdered. Mississippi did not charge for muder and the killers were found Not Guilty.

    Martin Luther King Jr. lead blacks to refuse to ride public busses or taxis due to what happened to rosa parks and then after a while Bus Segregation was banned.

    9 black children were being refused ascess to school even though school segregation was not illegal and they were then forced in by law to be able to attend their school.

    blacks were doing sit-ins to try to get segregation banned in restraunts but were brutally beaten up on and arrested

    black students rode a bus through Virginia, the Carolinas, Alabama, and Mississippi. during their trip their tires were slashed, one bus was set to fire, and the other was ambushed and the riders were bruatlly beaten. Martin Luther King Jr. was put in jail and while in jail he wrote about his views on the situation.

    Blacks were encouraged to vote and many went even though it was dangerous. a group of 3 civil rights activists were arrested and then later released only to be followed home by the police and when they were in the middle of nowhere they were ambushed and killed.

    Police surrounded a church and eventuallly busted in and beat the occupants. Jimmie lee jackson was beaten to death trying to protect his family.

    The police stopped a voting march and then drove them back with force and it was known as Bloody Sunday. Later Jackson had ordered a new voting rights act and many blacks made the trek to go to vote they marched on down to the voting office and voted even though is was still very dangrous.
