Herman Talmadge
Herman Talmadge served as GA's governor in 1947 and from 1948 to 1954. He was denounced for a misuse of the state's money. -
Brown v. Board of Education
This case was fighting against segregation of schools. The case was sent to many different courts before on May 14, 1954 the court declared, "We conclude that in the field of public education the doctrine of ‘separate but equal’ has no place. Separate educational facilities are inherently unequal. . ." -

Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. fought for civil rights for African Americans in the US. He led many peaceful protests including The March on Washington. He delivered his famous "I have a Dream Speach to 250,000 people during the march. King was assasinated on April 4, 1968. -
