African Americans in 1955 were not allowed to ride towards the front of the bus. When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat she was arrested and then a boycott broke out. For a long time African Americans would not ride the buses and it would cost the bus companies a fortune so they changed their way. -

The sit in was a civil rights protest where they would sit at segregated lunch counters and would not leave even if they were denied service. -
Birmingham Church bombing
The Birmingham bombing was a white supremacy attack on a mostly black church. The bomb injured 22 people and killed 4 girls. -

The civil rights act of 1964 states that any US citizen gets the same rights no matter on race -

Lyndon Johnson signed the act in 1965 that made discrimination towards people trying to register to vote illegal
