    Verdict for brown vs education is handed down
    the decision stated that separate educational facilities are inherently unequal. As a result, de jure racial segregation was ruled a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. This ruling paved the way for integration and was a major victory of the civil rights movement.

    A African American Civil rights organization. It played a large role in the American Civil rights movement and was strongly motivated by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    The Little Rock Nine were not able to enter Central High School because of there color because of there color. Eventually President Eisenhower interviewed the little rock nine and forced them to be enrolled.

    James meredith has been barred from entering school because of his color. He finally was admitted to be the first black student at the University of Mississippi with the presidents permission. Ross Barnett tried everything he could to block him from entering the school but in the end it didn't work.

    Kennedy was assassinated in Dealey Plaza in Dallas Texas. There have been tons of conspiracies brought up about who had killed him and why he was killed. Kennedy was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald and Oswald was arrested and then killed by jack ruby later.

    Three CORE members dissapear in Mississippi
    On the night of June 21–22, 1964, Chaney, Goodman, and Schwerner were threatened, intimidated, beaten, shot, and buried by members of the Ku Klux Klan, the Neshoba County's Sheriff Office and the Philadelphia Police Department located in Philadelphia, Mississippi. After the largest and most televised search at the time, their bodies were found 44 days later in an earthen dam near the murder site.

    Was an act to enforce major forms of discrimination. it focused on racial, ethnic, national and religious minorities, and women. it also ended unequal rules on voting regulation.

    While in the middle of a speech to 400 people a man charded the stage a shot malcolm in the chest with a shotgun. after this happened multiple people came up and shot him with handguns. he was pronounced dead almost immediately.

    A organization led by students but mainly led by Ella Baker. Meetings were held at shaw university. It allowed jobs for some who worked full time. it helped with sit-ins and freedom rides.

    Marches and protests held throughout montgomery and the places on the way to selma. It was a way for people to help get voting rights for african americans and other nationalities and ethnicities.

    A six day riot resulting in 34 deaths, 1,032 injuries, 3,438 arrests, and over $40 million in property damage. It was known as the largest riot until 1992.

    Rosa parks was arrested for sitting down for what she believed she sat down on a bus and sat where the white people were able to sit. she was arrested for disobeying an alabama state law that said she had to give up her place.

    The Black Panther Party was created by Huey P. Newton. it was founded in California. The party originally set out for a plan for self defense against police brutality.

    at the ahe of 39 king was assassinated at the lorraine motel in memphis Tennessee. James Earl Ray was arrested in London he was said to be the murder.
