Attacks on September 11, 2001
On September 11, 2001 The U.S. was attacked by a terrorist group called al-Qaeda. The terrorists hijacked four planes and crashed them into buildings in the United States. Two of the hijacked planes hit the world trade center, one hit the pentagon, and one crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Iraq War Resolution Authorized by Congress

Saddam Hussein's capture

John Roberts Nominated Supreme Court Justice
Chief Justice William Rehnquist, appointed by Richard Nixon, died after 33 years of serving the Supreme Court. Two days later President Bush appointed John G. My trip to Disney World
When I was 4 years old my family went to Disney World for a week. I loved the rides and shows and characters around the park. Unfortunately I was sick for the last three days we spent there. -
The day I moved
When I was five years old my family moved. We stayed in Abington but just moved to a bigger house. We live in Glenside not far from keswick village. -
First day of kindergarten
When I was 5 years old I attended my first day of kindergarten at Copper Beech. I had Mrs. Moser as my teacher. -
Phillies win the World Series
I was 7 years old when the Phillies won the 2008 World Series. They Defeated the Rays in Game 5. My family went down to Keswick Village to celebrate the victory. -
President Obama elected
In 2008 Barack Obama became the first black president ever elected in American history. President Obama defeated Republican challenger Senator John McCain to become the 44th president. Obama's Vice Presidential running mate was Senator Joe Biden. Obama narrowly defeated Secretary Hillary Clinton in the primaries to be nominated as the democratic candidate for president.

Obama signs order to Close Guantanamo Bay Prison
On January 22, 2009 Obama signed an executive order to close Guantanamo Bay detention facilities. The order was to take affect within a year. The order did not allow suspected terrorist to be tortured. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act signed into law

Osama Bin Laden killed
On May 2, 2001 Osama Bin Laden was killed. Bin Laden was the leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda and was responsible for the terrorists attacks of 9/11. He was killed by Navy Seals in Pakistan. My sister goes to college
My sister Erinmarie is six years older than me. When I was starting off at the Jr High my sister started at the University of Rochester. It was weird at first when she left but after a while it became normal. This past summer she stayed in Rochester and it was weird seeing her so little. -
Baby turtle born
I had two pet turtles for many years named Buddy and Shelly. One day my brother and my dad found a baby turtle in their pen. We named it Sandy because she hatched right before Hurricane Sandy hit here. When she hatched she was about the size of a quarter but now she is about the size of a baseball -
President Obama Re-Elected

My grandmas death
On January 12, 2013 my Nanny died. She was sick and in the hospital for a few weeks with a pneumonia. I was saddened by her passing but seeing my family so much really brought me closer to them. -
Boston Marathon Bombings
On April 15,2013 at the finish line of the Boston Marathon two explosions went off. Three people were killed and 260 were injured. Tamerlan Tsarnaev one of the suspects was killed in a police shootout. Later that day the other suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured.

My uncle Billy's death
Two years ago my uncle Billy died from a brain hemorrhage after hitting his head on concrete. His partner, my uncle jimmy, died in 2007 from cancer. My mom and my aunt had my brother and cousins and I help clean out their house downtown. We spent a while in their house looking through photos and other stuff from the house. -
Michael Brown killed by Ferguson police officer
On August 9, 2014 a Ferguson police officer shot and killed Michael Brown. Brown was 18 years old and unarmed. The officer Darren Wilson stated he had shot out of self defense. There were many protesters in Ferguson standing up for Michael Brown. The officer Darren Wilson was put on trial and found innocent.

Pope Francis Visits America for the first time. The Pope visited Washington D.C. and spoke to congress. Pope Francis also visited New York and Philadelphia. The pope addressed the UN and joined the world meeting of families. -
Star Wars Episode 7
My favorite movie series is Star Wars. When tickets for episode 7 went for sale I bought the earliest ones I could. Unfortunately my tickets were for the 18th the day after it came out. To ensure I avoided all spoilers I didn't use my phone or my laptop or anything else all day. When the 18th came I eagerly awaited to watching it all day but eighth period someone spoiled it for me. I still enjoyed watching it that night. -
Hillary Clinton named the first woman nominee of a major party
Hillary Clinton was named the first woman nominee for a major party in history. Clinton won the democratic primaries against Senator Bernie Sanders. She accepted the nomination on the last day of the Democratic National Convention held in Philadelphia.
