Clary seems to not remember anything from when she was really little. When I have tried to find out why but they can't. This is when Magnus Bane comes into play and helps try to figure out how to remove the block on Clary's mind though he is the one who placed it in the first place. -

What's the point of the story and Simon, Clarys best, friend come aboard the team. Without Simon they would never get anywhere and the story would be pointless. He is there chauffeur and drives them anywhere. -
