  • USB Flash Drive

    First introduced in 2000, the flash drive replaced floppy drives in a much more portable and durable solution. Originally the storage capacity was relatively low at 256mb but today, these devices are typically measured in GB and even TB in some cases.
  • iPod Invented

    In 2001 the iPod was announced by Apple, 21 years ago. A portable device that allowed users to download various MP3 music to listen to wherever they go. This device led the way for the iPhone and iPad.
  • Bluetooth Headsets

    Bluetooth was originally released in the late 90's by several large technology corporations, however did not see widespread adaptation until the early 2000's. By 2002 this technology was implemented into headsets which allowed cordless listening to media. Today, Bluetooth is used in a plethora of products of all types.
  • Kindle

    In 2007 Amazon launched the original Kindle, which was an eReading platform that allowed people who love to read to carry multiple books with them much more conveniently than in the traditional sense. This device led to the creation of other applications that do the same, as well as other versions of the Kindle aimed more at entertainment, such as the Kindle Fire.
  • iPhone

    Today you might hear people argue about iPhone vs Android, which is largely due to the acceptance of the original iPhone. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate, while offering everything you could hope for from your cell phone. At the time, it was a revolutionary product that has paved the way for Apple's success in the market ever since.
