Video Recorder
Film was the only medium available for recording television programs. Charles Ginsburg led the team that developed a new machine that could run the tape at a much slower rate because the recording heads rotated at high speeds. This allowed the high-frequency response that was needed. -
Transistor Radio
The transistor radio was useful for it being pocket sized, and you could listen to music anywhere. In 1954 they became the most popular electronic communication device in history. -

The "black box" was a flight recorder. It was made to record the flight crew's conversations. -

The first computer hard disk was used in 1956. The drive only had 5MB of data at 10,000$ a megabyte.
