  • baseball

    Baseball was invented in 1839 by Abner Doubleday, The first game was played on June 19 1846. But in 1869 baseball became a professional sport.

  • Track and Field

    Track and Field was invented in the US in 1857 and became a pro sport in 1970s

  • Lacrosse

    Lacrosse started getting noticed in the US around 1859 and in 2001 it became a professional sport

  • Soccer

    Soccer was invented in 1866

  • Football

    Football
    The first american match was played November 6 1869 between Rutgers and Princeton. And then in 1920 10 football teams gathered in Canton, Ohio and formed the American Professional Football Association.

  • Tennis

    Tennis got invented in 1874 and became a pro sport in 1968

  • Softball

    Softball was invented in 1887 and became a sport in 1910

  • Basketball

    Basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith. In 1898 it became a professional sport. Basketball was then introduced to the Olympics in 1904 in St. Louis.

  • Bowling

    Bowling was invented in 1895 and became pro in 1907

  • Rugby

    Rugby was invengted in 1975 and became a pro sport in 1995
